This Privacy Notice sets out the data processing practices of Brightwake Ltd trading as Advancis Medical, Advancis Surgical and Advancis Veterinary. Any data we may capture is used in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Brightwake Ltd is the Controller of the personal data that is process and is responsible for ensuring systems, processes, third-party processors and representatives comply with Data Protection Laws. Alistair Knight is the Data Protection Officer who oversees compliance with GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and this policy.

What information does the organisation collect about you?
The organisation collects a range of information about you, some of which is personal data.

Contract – processing is necessary for us to administer the pre-contract and contractual relationship between ourselves and our suppliers/customers/potential employees in connection with the performance of a contract.

What if we transfer your personal information out of the EEA?

How do we protect your personal information?
We take the security of your data seriously. We employ security measures to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. We also train and bring awareness to our employees and partners that work with us, as to the importance of privacy, confidentiality and security of your personal information.
Where we engage with third parties to process personal information on its behalf, they do so on the basis of written instructions, are under a duty of confidentiality and are obliged to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of the data.
Internally within Brightwake Ltd we also have procedures in place to protect your privacy including, but not limited to
- username and password protection on all Brightwake Ltd technology and systems
- Management access to personal information gathered through our site and services, ensuring that the minimum number of team members have this access. All access is dependent on the need to view such data based upon their role within Brightwake Ltd.
- confidentiality agreements are signed with employees who have access to your personal information;
- all employees adhere to our privacy policy and face severe sanctions if they break it;
- system back-ups are set to ensure the integrity of your personal information.
This website and its sub domains are built upon a third-party platform, Shopify - a large website solution, used by 350,000 different businesses. Therefore, we leverage many of the security features developed by security experts at Shopify.
Although we take all appropriate measures to secure your data, there is always a risk that unscrupulous operators may find a way to penetrate our security systems. As such, we cannot completely ensure that the collected personal information will never be revealed in a way which is in contradiction with our Privacy Policy.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.
What period do we retain your personal data for?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
